Search for K 0s → 2γ decay

Summary

A search for the K 0s → 2γ decay was carried out using the 180 litre xenon bubble chamber exposed to a separated K+ beam with momentum 0.85 GeV/c at the ITEP proton accelerator. The branching ratio Γ(K 0s →-> 2γ)/Γ(K 0s → all) was found to be compatible with zero with a 90% c.l. upper limit 1.33 · 10−4.

Si è oompiuta una ricerca del decadimento K 0s → 2γ usando la camera a bolle a Xe da 180 litri esposta ad un fascio separato di mesoni K+ di momento 0.85 GeV/c, prodotto all’acceleratore di protoni dell’ITEP. Il rapporto Γ(K 0s → 2γ)/Γtot(K 0s ) è risultato compatibile con zero ed il limite superiore, al livello di confidenza del 90%, è risultato 1.33 · 10t-4.
