Summary
Dirac microscopic impulse approximation calculations and Dirac coupled-channel calculations have been performed to analyse cross-sections and analysing powers data for elastic and inelastic scatterings of 800 MeV polarized protons from some low-lying states in12C and16O. Fairly good agreement between the relativistic microscopic impulse approximation calculations and the data has been obtained, however somewhat better agreement has been obtained with Dirac coupled-channel collective-model calculations for all these states investigated.
