Summary
Working within the framework of Glauber multiple-scattering theory and treating the α-α amplitude as the basic one, we calculate α-12C elastic scattering differential cross-section at 1.37 GeV in the α-particle model for12C. It is found that the calculated cross-sections are in much better agreement with the experimental ones than in earlier parameter-free calculations in the region of the first maxima. Limitations of the models to account for the data at larger momentum transfers are discussed.
