Conclusions
From above findings, it was strongly suggested that rat hepatomas induced by 3’ -Me-DAB are a suitable experimental model for human hepatomas. We believe that if the enzyme histochemistry which has been quite useful in the demonstration of precancerous lesions in experimental animals is applicable to human liver biopsy specimens, it might be possible to detect individuals belonging to the “high risk group” for hepatomas.
