Probing the electroweak gauge group with longitudinal polarization

Predictions of aSU _2,L×U ₁×Ũ ₁ andSU _2,L×SU _2,R×U ₁ type electroweak gauge model for e⁺e⁻→γ, Z ⁰₁ , Z ⁰₂ , ... → μ⁺μ⁻, 3 jets with longitudinally polarized beams are compared with the standardmodel predictions. Unpolarized beams cannot single out the standard model up to ∼ 120 GeV. Polarization asymmetry is sensitive to different models; in the 2-jet production sizable effects are expected already above 60 GeV.
