Recently, several authors (C. Wendt: SLAC-PUB-4447, 1987;A. R. Bogojevic et al.: Brown preprint, 1988) have questioned the completeness of Witten's superstring action and his attendant gauge trasformation law. The results in our analysis are unaffected by such questions.
