Transverse-momentum limitation in inclusive electroproduction processes

Summary

We show that, if the longitudinal phase space is populated in a statistically independent manner (Poisson-like distribution), in an interval between the limits fixed by the rapidity of the leading particles, one being the virtual photon, then the average transverse momentum must be limited in the Bjorken limit, and this limit is scale invariant. As a result we further show that the average density of particles (the rate of increase of average multiplicity with lns) has a universal upper bound independent of dynamical variables.

Si mostra che, se lo spazio delle fasi longitudinale è popolato in maniera statisticamente indipendente (distribuzione del tipo di Poisson), in un intervallo tra i limiti fissati dalla rapidità della particelle guida, una delle quali è il fotone virtuale, allora l'impulso trasversale medio deve essere limitato nel limite di Bjorken e questo limite è invariante di scala. Come risultato si mostra ulteriormente che la densità media delle particelle (il rapporto di aumento della molteplicità media con lns) ha un limite superiore universale indipendente da variabili dinamiche.

Мы показываем, что если продольное фазовое пространство заполняется статистически независимым образом (распределение пуассоновского типа) в интервале между пределами, фиксированными быстротой главных частиц, одна из которых является виртуальным фотоном, то средний поперечный импульс должен быть ограничен в пределе Бьёркена и этот предел является масштабноинваривнтным. Мы показываем, что средняя плотность частиц (быстрота увеличения средней множественности с lns) имеет универсальную верхнюю границу, не зависящую от динамических переменных.
