Nonassociativity as the generating source of the mass levels of hadrons and leptons

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento A (1971-1996)

Summary

Grading is performed to the proper Lorentz algebra. Nonassociativity appears in the process of grading. Geometrical progression of mass values of hadrons and leptons is explained as the result of the quantization mechanism through nonassociativity. It is suggested to take the fundamental unit length as the quantization constant of the quantization of nonassociativity.

The subtraction method has been developed to treat the problem of ultraviolet divergence (E. B. Manoukian:Renormalization (Academic Press, New York, N. Y., 1983)). But as it is shown that this method is equivalent to the counterterm formalism, this is nothing but the reformulation of the problem.
