Abstract
A composition and technology for carbon-containing rammed bodies based on chamotte from Chinese bauxites are developed. In accordance with elaborated scientific and production forms and records, the technology of production of rammed bodies based on chamotte from Chinese bauxites with graphite admixtures is brought to a commercial level at the Semiluki refractory plant. The use of these bodies in linings of the furnace bottom, hearth, and compression-type siphon drain provided an endurance of cupolas close to that of linings made of commonly used bodies based on electrically fused corundum.
