Abstract

The effect of additives obtained from chamotte production waste on the activity of real metallurgical slags with respect to ladle chamotte refractories is studied. It is shown that introduction of the additives (up to 30% of the slag mass) results in significant suppression of slag-induced corrosion of chamotte samples and a decrease in the wettability of the slag melt.
