Abstract
Information on a broad set of corundum ceramic materials used in the lock-valve sealings of home sanitary-engineering appliances produced in Russia is presented. Results of an investigation of the mechanical workability and tribological properties of these materials are reported. These data can be useful for specialists of enterprises manufacturing sanitary-engineering appliances with ceramic sealing elements and for technologists engaged in the development of structural ceramics possessing good workability and high tribological characteristics.
