Additional information

This paper reports a new method for evaluating the effect of an audio-visual message upon the behavior of the viewers. It contrasts with the usual procedure of measuring the amount of learning or the change in attitudes. This research was carried out under the direction of Loran C. Twyford of the Highway Traffic Safety Center and Audio-Visual Center of Michigan State University under a grant from the Public Health Service (RG-5786).
