Abstract

A method for approximate analysis of the diathermancy of molten glass and controlling this parameter by varying the redox potential of the charge with stabilizing the FeO-to-Fe2O3 ratio in the composition of the glass was developed and installed. Use of the method made it possible to increase the efficiency of the the system by 9% and improve the quality of sheet glass.
