Conclusions

  1. 1.

The complexity of the theoretical solution of the problem of the discharge capacity of a broad-crested weir working under three-dimensional conditions, dictates the need for considerable experimental investigations.

  2. 2.

On the basis of the experimental results new calculation graphs and dependences were obtained and are recommended for use when designing intake works patterned after a broad-crested weir and when estimating their capacity. The accuracy of the calculated parameters in 3–5%.
