Summary

The definitive second order models of the 1982.5 geomagnetic normal field of the Federal Republic of Germany and its secular variation in the sense of 1982.5 minus 1965.0 and 1992.5 minus 1982.5 are presented in this paper. The models are based on three repeat station surveys carried out in 1964/65,1982, and 1992, respectively. A statistical evaluation of the residuals of the difference fields reflects the progress in measuring techniques that has been made since the “Reichsvermessung” of 1935.

Zusammenfassung

Das geomagnetische Normalfeld zur Epoche 1982.5 der damaligen Bundesrepublik Deutschland und das Säkulavariationsfeld von 1965 bis 1992 Es werden die endgültigen Modelle zweiter Ordnung des geomagnetischen Normalfeldes zur Epoche 1982.5 und die Säkularvariation im Sinne 1982.5 minus 1965.0 und 1992.5 minus 1982.5 über der Bundesrepublik Deutschland dargestellt. Grundlage dazu bilden Säkularpunktmessungen, die 1964/65, 1982 und 1992 durchgeführt wurden. Statistische Betrachtungen der Residuen der Differenzfelder spiegeln die Entwicklung in der Meßtechnik seit der Reichsvermessung 1935 wider.
