Refractories and Industrial Ceramics Aims and scope

Abstract

A modernized variant of a superhard composite has been created with allowance for the principle of artificial improvement of the homogeneity of the structure and the structural mechanism of increasing the wear resistance. The production process includes the action of high pressure and temperature on a superhard powder containing carbide-, boride-, and nitride-forming elements or a compound based on them. The choice of additives to the superhard powders and individual components of the binder is made with allowance for the phase and structural composition of the preforms and the manufacturing method
