Abstract

Amplitude-distance-diameter (ADD) diagrams for solids tested by a direct transducer have been obtained by calculating numerically the normalized amplitude of a signal reflected from a flat-bottom hole in the integral representation. The calculations are compared with experimental results, in particular, with the curves recommended by the Krautkrermer company. An effect of the piezoelectric transducer wave dimension on the curves in the near-field zone has been detected.
