Abstract

Determination of the hardness of paint and varnish coatings by the method of dynamic indenting is discussed. Experimental data about the varnish hardness obtained in the process of its hardening with the help of the ITPP-1 instrument are given. The ITPP-1 measurements are analyzed and compared with the data obtained using the conventional M-3 instruments. Advantages of the ITPP-1 have been demonstrated.
