Completeness of the radial eigenfunctions of angular momentum and the Sommerfeld-Watson transformation

Summary

The completeness of the radial eigenfunctions of the square of the total angular momentum is considered. They correspond to solutions of the radial Schrödinger equation with complex angular momentum. The physical scattering wave function at a fixed energy and Yukawa-like potentials is expanded in terms of this complete set. From the asymptotic behaviour at large distances of this expansion the Sommerfeld-Watson formula for the scattering amplitude is obtained. This dynamical derivation is compared with the usual kinematical analysis by means of symmetry groups.

Si studia la completezza delle autofunzioni radiali del quadrato dell'impulso angolare totale. Esse corrispondono alle soluzioni dell'equazione di Schrödinger radiale con impulso angolare complesso. Si sviluppa in termini di questo gruppo completo la funzione d'onda dello scattering fisico per energia fissata e potenziali del tipo di Yukawa. Dal comportamento asintotico agrandi distanze di questo sviluppo si ottiene la formula di Sommerfeld-Watson per l'ampiezza di seattering. Si confronta questa derivazione dinamica con l'usuale analisi cinematica per mezzo dei gruppi di simmetria.

Рассматривается полнота радиальных собственных функций квадрата полного момента. Они соответствуют решениям радиального уравнения Шредингера с комплексным моментом. Волновая функция физического рассеяния при фиксированной энергии и Юкава-подобных потенциалак раскладывается по этой полной сустеме. Йз асимптотического поведения этого разложения на больших расстояниях получается формула Зоммерфельда-Ватсона для амплитуды рассеяния. Этот динамический вывод сравнивается с обычным кинематическим анализом посредством групп симметрии.
