Polarization and spin correlation parameters measurements in 600 MeV proton-proton scattering using a polarized proton target

Summary

Using a polarized or unpolarized proton beam previously described and a polarized proton target (70%) we measured the parametersP(θ) and $C_{\mathcal{N}\mathcal{N}} (\theta )$ in the angular interval from 23° to 104° in the center-of-mass system at about 600 MeV. The experimental set-up and the way in which the data were carried out are discussed. Results are presented and compared to those already obtained in the same energy region.

Con il fascio di protoni polarizzati o non polarizzati, descritto precedentemente, ed un bersaglio di protoni polarizzati (70%) abbiamo misurato i parametriP(θ) e $C_{\mathcal{N}\mathcal{N}} (\theta )$ nell’intervallo angolare da 23° a 104° nel sistema del centro di massa a circa 600 MeV. Si discute l’apparecchiatura sperimentale ed il modo in cui vennero rilevati i dati. Si presentano i risultati e li si confronta con quelli già ottenuti nella stessa regione di energia.
