PCAVC hypothesis and the pion-lambda interaction

The partially-conserved axial-vector current hypothesis (PCAVC) is used to derive a consistency condition on π-Λ scattering, which is then examined quantitatively, using the results of a recent analysis of the low-energy π-Λ interaction. The consistency condition isA ^π-Λ(ν=0,ν _B =0,k ²=0)=0 and we findA ^π-Λ=2±3. The result is comparable with that obtained by Adler for π-$\mathcal{N}$ scattering.
