Abstract
Laminar counterflow of mutually insoluble liquids in a narrow slot is discussed. Expressions relating the velocity profiles in upward and downward flows with the physical properties of the liquids and volumetric flow rates are suggested. An equation for the volumetric flow is proposed for the case of inversionless movement (zero flow rate at the interface).
