Summary
Eighteen female and twenty-four male subjects with mental retardation of undetermined etiology were studied. The incidence of chromatin positivity among male mental defectives was found to be 4.2 per cent. The incidence of chromatin two positivity among female mental defectives was 5.5 per cent. None of the female patients with mental retardation was chromatin negative.
