Main field and symmetric-hyperbolic form of the dirac equation

  • Published:
Lettere al Nuovo Cimento (1971-1985)

Summary

A method to obtain a symmetric-hyperbolic system of conservative equations starting from a complex system of conservation laws and their complex conjugate with one supplementary real conservative equation, is proposed when a suitable condition equivalent to convexity is fulfilled. It is shown that Dirac equation fulfils the predicted condition and can be written in symmetric-hyperbolic form.
