Covariant generation of vector gauge bosons and nonlinear background field calculations

Summary

A refined treatment of the nonlinearities of the scalar sector in a model of covariant generation of vector gauge bosons is given. Wide use of group transformation properties and background field techniques is made. As a result some problems inherent to the previous naive treatment are solved.
