The propagation of disturbaces and shock waves in the inside of stars - I

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento (1955-1965)

Summary

The problem of the propagation of disturbances in the inside of stars is discussed in its general aspects and as regards its solubility by means of electronic computers. The problem of the stability of the numerical processes is therefore studied, and, after bringing out the need to use stellar models in analytical form in order to find the convergence of the solutions obtained, the results are applied to generalized Koche’s models so selected as to represent very closely particular models of stars already calculated with a considerable degree of physical accuracy. There will be further papers on the numerical results obtained.
