A case of congenital urethral polyp is reported. The polyp presented with symptoms of lower urinary tract obstruction which evaded radiological diagnosis, perhaps due to its small size. The polyp showed squamous metaplasia, one of the rare changes to occur the usual lining being transitional cell epithelium.
