Summary
Six children with primary haemorrhagic disease of the newborn” are described. Their main presentation was gastrointestinal bleeding. After vitamin K administration, further episodes of bleeding did not occur in any of them. Three prematures expired; in 2 the probable cause of death was intracranial bleeding and the third had aspiration pneumonia.
