Fructose intolerance associated with congenital cataract

Summary

An infant with fructose intolerance is reported. The interesting features included absence of hypoglycaemic symptoms and the presence of a congenital cataract. The cataract got absorbed partially on exclusion of fructose from the child’s diet.
