Pulmonary alveolar microlithiasis

Report of a case

Summary

An isolated case of pulmonary alveolar microlithiasis in a boy aged 16 years is reported. His main complaint was shortness of breath. Lung function tests showed a restrictive type of insufficiency. X-ray of the chest and lung biopsy confirmed the diagnosis. The literature on the subject is reviewed.
