A graphical method to evaluate vacuum expectation values of products of creation and annihilation operators

  • Published:
Lettere al Nuovo Cimento (1971-1985)

Summary

A graphical method for the evaluation of vacuum expectation values of products of creation and annihilation operators, is presented. This method is an adaptation of Danos’ switchyard technique to the particular case of strings of only creation and annihilation operators and is easier to use and more transparent than Wick’s theorem.
