Constraint on the number of neutrino species from the recent pp experiments

Summary

In the framework of QCD and the Weinberg-Salam model, we analyse the recent experimental data for the total widths of W± and Z0 bosons and the production cross-sections σw±B(W±→e±v) and σzB(Z0→e+e-), and derive the constraint on the number of neutrino species Nv. We obtain the constraint Nv≤56.
