Summary
The characteristic Gaussian angular distribution of the two-body reactions produced by high-energy hadrons is correlated to the overall exponential distribution of the particles produced in the multibody processes. These properties, common to both the elastic and inelastic interactions, are then interpreted as the manifestation of the multiple scattering of subunits (possibly quarks) present in all hadrons.
