Summary
Some well-known relations between forward-scattering amplitudes of mesons and baryons, originally derived from a quark model and the additivity assumption, are discussed in the framework of a Reggepole model with universal coupling of the trajectories. For the vector contributions the two models are completely equivalent and experimentally indistinguishable. Concerning the tensor trajectories, we investigate in particular their conjectured relation to the energy-momentum tensor. It is found that if there is any such relation, the tensor residues att=0 should be connected with definite pieces of the general (linear)SU 6 decomposition of meson and baryon masses.
