On singular potential scattering — I

Summary

Asymptotic expansions of tg δ, valid either in weak-coupling or in the low-energy limit, are derived for scattering by «inverse-power « singular potentials inS-wave. The method is founded on the well-known possibility of determining the Jost functions by connecting at any pointr⊋ 0 the regular solution of the Schrödinger equation with a linear combination of the Jost solutions. A discussion of the results and an analysis of the method makes clearer some general features of the scattering by singular potentials and some significant aspects of the mathematics involved.

Si deducono sviluppi asintotici di tg δ, validi nel limite di accoppiamento debole o di bassa energia, per oollisioni in ondaS da potenziali singolari del tipog 2rn. II metodo si fonda sulla ben nota possibilità di determinare le funzioni di Jost connettendo ad ogni punto r⊋ 0 la soluzione regolare dell’ equazione di Sohrödinger e una combinazione lineare delle soluzioni di Jost. Una disoussione dei risultati e una analisi del metodo rendono piu chare alcune caratteristiche delle collisioni da potenziali singolari e alouni signifloativi aspetti delle tecniche matematiche implicate.
