Summary
The baryon-ps-meson coupling constants are evaluated in a broken SU3-symmetry model based on the ϱ(su0)-0 mixing. Since only one parameter is introduced by the model, a meaningful numerical comparison is possible with the existing data about those coupling constants; the agreement is satisfactory.

In a recent paperPhys. Rev.,132, 482 (1963)M. Muraskin andS. L. Glashow have also considered the SU3-couplings when a symmetry-breaking interaction analogously to the mass-formula case (i.e., transforming like the singlet member of a unitary octet) is introduced in the interaction Lagrangian. No hypothesis is made there about the mechanism of violation of the unitary symmetry; in that more general case, however, no meaningful comparison with the existing data is possible since too many parameters are present.
