Regge poles in weak interactions - I

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento (1955-1965)

Summary

An analysis is made of Eegge poles in weak reactions involving two spin-half fermions and two spin-zero bosons, with particular reference to neutrino reactions on spinless targets and meson production in neutrino-electron collisions. The Regge-Khuri representation is used for obtaining the equations for the latter process; a method of solving for the amplitude is outlined. Numerical results are obtained in an effective-range approximation. The form factors governing the high-energy behaviour of peripheral neutrino reactions are evaluated. Some of the difficulties that arise in anS-matrix approach to weak interactions are discussed.
