Absorption of photons withE maxγ = 1 GeV in4He

Summary

Experimental results on the high-energy photoeffect in4He withE maxγ =1 GeV are presented. In the energy range (0÷170) MeV the date are in good agreement with other measurements. In the range (170÷1000) MeV the data indicate that the γ-ray absorption in4He occurs mainly through π photoproduction.

Riassunto

Vengono presentati alcuni risultati sperimentali relativi all’assorbimento di fotoni con E maxγ =l MeV in4He. Nell’intervallo (0÷170) MeV i dati sono m buon accordo colle mistire di altri autori. Nell’intervallo (170÷1000) MeV i dati indicano che l’assorbimento dei fotoni in4He avviene principalmente attraverso la fotoproduzione di mesoni π.
