Summary
This paper deals with a description of linearized electromagnetic wave propagation and oscillations in a relativistic electronpositron gas. Special emphasis is placed on the long wavelength region. The behavior of the relativistic gas is shown to contrast sharply with its nonrelativistic counterpart regarding the existence of collisionless damping effects.
