Polynomial generating functions in two-body elastic scattering

  • Published:
Lettere al Nuovo Cimento (1971-1985)

Summary

The invariant Mandelstam variabless andt used in two-body elastic scattering are introduced into the generating function for Legendre polynomials in two distinct ways. The newly derived polynomials,R n(s1/2/2 + t/s1/2) andQ n[-t/(2s1/2], have generating functions which are propagators with applications in particle physics.
