Dynamical symmetries of a class of action equivalent Hamiltonians

  • Published:
Lettere al Nuovo Cimento (1971-1985)

Summary

The first integrals of a class of action equivalent Hamiltonians for a system with closed orbits form a SU2 symmetry group. This is also the symmetry group of the corresponding quantal Hamiltonians in the WKB approximation, however, the nondegeneracy of the exact eigenvalues indicates that the symmetry is not preserved in quantization.
