Summary
The equations of a multichannelN overD method are formulated and it is suggested that the hypothesis of random signs for the elements of the force matrix considerably simplifies the solution. A simple model is treated, and shown to yield a neat derivation of a formula which can be used to correct the peripheral model for coherent scattering effects.
