Baryon-baryon interactions and unitary symmetry

  • Published:
Il Nuovo Cimento (1955-1965)

Summary

The baryon-baryon interactions are studied by making use of the octet version of the unitary symmetry model. The bound state Ξn in the1S0 state is predicted provided that the symmetry is not violated seriously. The Ξ-n → ΣΣ0 process occurs only through the space-spin svmmetric state. A method to treat the symmetry violation in the lowenergy scattering is discussed.
