The intermediate mass scale and the fermion mass matrices

Summary

We pursue the possibility that the global horizontal symmetry and the Peccei-Quinn symmetry are broken simultaneously at a large scale. We derive a realistic mass matrix by analysing the potential of the scalar fields.
