Summary
The b potential which determines the height of electrical response of the retina to light averaged 0.265 mV in 20 normal children. Average values in the age groups 7 to 8, 9 to 10, and 11 to 12 years were 0.238 mV, 0.267 mV, and 0.267 mV respectively. Average b-potentials were consistently higher in females than in males (0.300 and 0.229 mV respectively).
