Amyotonia congenita syndrome

With the report of a case of Werdnig Hoffmann disease

Summary

A case of Werdnig-Hoffmann disease is reported. The different diseases comprising the amyotonia congenita syndrome have been discussed and it is emphasized that Werdnig-Hoffmann disease is only one of the many entities responsible for this syndrome which essentially means extreme generalised hypotonia in an infant.
