Si presentant i dati preliminari riguardanti il funzionamento di un contatore di Cerenkov a gas. Le misure del rendimento del contatore, mediate sullo spettro dei mesoni μ dei raggi cosmici con quantità di moto maggiore di 1.75 GeV/c, in funzione della pressione del gas, hanno dato il valore di (96.7±1.1)% alla pressione di 10.23 atm N.P.T.

Summary

The performance of a CO2 Čerenkov counter has been studied. The efficiency of the counter for μ-mesons of cosmic rays with momentum greater than 1.75 GeV/c has been measured as a function of gas pressure. Preliminary results give for the efficiency the value (96.7 ±1.1)% at the pressure of 10.23 atm N.P.T.
