Statistical mechanical basis of multiparticle production at high-energy collisions in the Gluon-Quark picture

  • Published:
Lettere al Nuovo Cimento (1971-1985)

Summary

The multiple production of hadrons in high-energy e+e- and pp collisions has been investigated, starting from the Lorentz invariant number densities of massless quarks and gluons. The model assumes the simultaneous production of multifireballs and hadrons and their successive decays in a certain class of Lorentz-scalar temperature parameters. Some useful quantities have been derived by assuming the canonical ensemble in an appropriate approximation.
