ψ(1s)p and ψ′(2s)p scattering in the modified quark model

  • Published:
Lettere al Nuovo Cimento (1971-1985)

Summary

Total and differential cross-sections for (ψp and ψ′p scattering are analysed in the quark model modified by double scattering of on-mass-shell coloured quarks. In the model, in which one-gluon exchange is assumed to dominate colour octet quark amplitudes, we obtain a small ψp slope,i.e., a ψp s 5.6 (GeV)-2 anda ψp sa ψ′p at small angle, and σT(ψ′p) ≳ σT(ψp). Υp and Υ′p scattering are also investigated.
