Summary
We report here that for an amplitude-modulated π/2 pulse the detuning-independent initial pulse profile is found to be given by a delta-function. This was shown by applying the inverse-scattering transform to undamped Bloch equations and solving the Gel’fand-Levitan-Marchenko equation analytically.
